Key Appointment at Equine Health Centre
Equine Health Centre Ltd (EHC) based near Langport in Somerset has recruited well known former flat racing trainer Olly Stevens to head up the sales operation for its developing business opportunities which includes Belebro, Equivia, Seawalker and Vitafloor.
Olly Stevens used one of the company’s products with the racehorses he trained and was impressed with the very positive effect it had on the horses. “During my time in training, I became fascinated by any gadget that could give even the smallest advantage in terms of safety, fitness or recovery. It wasn’t long before I discovered the EHC and became a client purchasing a Vitafloor – a vibrating floor used for recovery after racing, as well as for rehabilitation and injury prevention. The Vitafloor gave us some spectacular results and was integral to Extortionist overcoming some juvenile issues to win at Royal Ascot,” commented Olly.
“During my training career, I spent a huge amount of time working on the gallops and I am sure that a consistent training surface is the most important facility for all horses, so the company’s recent acquisition of Equivia is extremely exciting to me,” added Olly.
Justin Chittenden, Managing Director at EHC commented “Olly Stevens will be a huge benefit to the future of the EHC,” he commented. “With his contacts and in-depth equine knowledge he will make an impression wherever he goes. In addition to all his racing contacts, Olly will certainly be the right person to help us move into other equestrian pursuits and disciplines enabling us to demonstrate to a wider audience the value of our range.”
This appointment will build on the EHC heritage in racing, with the business now expanding into other equestrian areas including eventing, with clients including Izzy Taylor and Sam Ecroyd, plus the development of a new arena surface at Druids Lodge polo ground in Wiltshire.
