Seawalker® sits at the heart of Equine Health Centre.

Seawalker® underpins our commitment to helping equestrian athletes achieve consistent, marginal performance gains – through carefully engineered solutions.  Our hand-picked collection of products, with safety and consistency at their core, are available to training facilities worldwide, for them to offer the very best support to equines in their care.

Seawalker is fundamental to who we are and how we collate our products for horse training, recovery and long-term management.  Starting from early discussions in 2004 it has since been developed through years of installations, use and research.

Bringing the benefits of exercising horses in the sea into a controlled yard environment, Seawalker® combines chilled salt water, variable depth and natural movement, to create a unique supplementary training experience. Horses remain in contact with the ground, working in a relaxed frame while engaging core muscle groups and moving against water resistance. The result is a highly effective way to build strength, support fitness and introduce variety into a structured training programme.

Every Seawalker® installation is delivered as part of our wider approach – combining engineering expertise, practical horsemanship and close collaboration with clients around the world. From initial concept through to commissioning and ongoing support, we remain directly involved, ensuring each system performs as intended within the demands of a professional yard environment, for the long term.  We have installations in harsh climates approaching 20 years of service.

The Seawalker® has evolved since our first installation.  Its full capabilities, configurations and applications are explored in detail on its dedicated website. To understand more about how Seawalker® works, where it is used and how it could fit within your own training environment, we invite you to explore further via the link below.

  • Used correctly, Seawalker is probably the most significant step forward ever in the training of the equine athlete…

Mary Bromiley MBE FCSP SRP World-renowned equine physiotherapist
  • Cross-training in the Seawalker produces a stronger, more stable and balanced musculoskeletal system. This is likely to produce more confidence in the equine athlete and frequently a greater willingness to push itself that bit further. Walking through the water encourages the horses to adopt self-carriage. Working in such a way is an ideal scenario for all horses…

Rob Jackson BVetMed MRCVS Veterinary surgeon to the British Endurance Team
  • We have already experienced many individual cases in the short time of having the Seawalker but of particular note was that leg joints and fetlocks tightened up in all horses, the effect was noticeable within days…

    Various trainers under confidentiality restrictions
  • A common problem with racehorses is that post-training the muscles can ‘tie up’ or seize. This is very painful for a horse and we found once again that a 20 minute session in the Seawalker before and after riding controlled this problem better than any medication…

  • For the sprinting thoroughbreds a 20 minute session on the Seawalker before training would loosen up the muscles and we found the horses moved remarkably better directly after…
